Forest Oaks celebrate our patron saint.

On Thursday April 23rd we threw ourselves into celebrating our patron saint, and had a special St George’s Day at Forest Oaks.  We decorated the dining room with St George’s cross flags, some residents donned hats specially purchased for the occasion.  Our kitchen staff put on a superb themed lunch, delicious roast beef and yorkshire pudding, followed by apple pie for dessert which residents and relatives enjoyed immensely.  This was followed by an ‘English Themed Quiz’ where residents answered questions specifically about England from the 40’s, 50’s and 60’s.  Congratulations goes to Mr Kent who won a bottle of wine. The afternoon was spent with residents making the most of the sunshine in the garden, chatting over glasses of Pimms and a cream tea, joined by Tim Thomas, a member of our Forest Oaks House Committee.
