Everything you need and more
Little Haven has wonderful facilities to enable our residents to lead a happy, settled life in a home from home environment.
Our newly refurbished restaurant, Decades, is our main dining room used for serving meals at breakfast, lunch and supper time as well as being used for activities and special events. This large room in the centre of the home is a very useful space for a wide range of activities, from team games to exercise classes and themed lunches.
Lounges and Corridor Refurbishment progress
Our lounge at Little Haven, is about to be refurbished. We have been refurbishing the whole home over the past year with only a few areas left to be completed.
The lounge is a light airy room with plenty of armchairs, sofa's and a large screen television. This is where our popular pre-lunch sherry is served every day. It is a social room where residents can sit and chat over a cup of tea.
Our corridors are being redecorated thanks to a very kind donation from one of our residents and we have new pictures going up in each of the corridors representing different themes. The ground floor represents the forest with trees, wild flowers and animals of the forest. Our middle floor has places of interest around the world and the top floor has themes of the beach and harbour for residents to enjoy and make the home feel like a 'home from home' for our residents.
Arts & Crafts and Movie Room
We have a dedicated Arts & Crafts/Movie room newly created for our residents to enjoy the space to engage and be creative. This space allows residents to have a cuppa, chat and enjoy a variety of activities at the home or sit and chat with their loved ones. Tea and coffee is available to residents and visitors to enjoy.
Movies are varied to meet individual needs and are shown on our large screen by projector.
Little Haven offers a wealth of activities, available 7 days week, all designed to provide stimulation, exercise, relaxation and interest for our residents.
Rooms
All of our residents rooms are bright, fresh and homely. Each has a garden view and en-suite facilities. On each floor of the home easily accessible adapted baths and easy access shower rooms are available.
We encourage our new residents to bring small pieces of furniture and personal items to make their room feel more like home.
Housekeeping, domestic, laundry and catering staff provide a full service at Little Haven enabling our residents to relax or use their energy for enjoying the activities that are on offer.
Ageless Ales Home Pub for our Residents
We have just opened our Ageless Ales home pub for our residents. The pub is used as another communal room for residents to enjoy with tea and coffee available all day along with soft drinks. There is a large television and welcoming fireplace for our residents to relax and enjoy or chat with friends and loved ones. The pub is open and serving alcohol to our residents during activity days with our Lifestyle team. Our residents can enjoy their favourite tipple in the comfort of their own home whilst enjoying the theme and pub environment.
Drinks and snacks are available 24 hours a day.
Hair Salon
Our hair salon has just been refurbished and you are welcome to bring in your own hairdresser or we can arrange one for you, enjoy a day being pampered.
Extra Services
Appointments for any additional services that our residents may require can be made; sometimes these services are able to be provided in the home or if not we are able to provide support to help our residents attend their appointments. In addition, doctors from the three local surgeries visit the home and our residents can be supported to join these surgeries where needed.
There is some parking available at Little Haven for residents if they still wish to drive and of course for family visits. Some off road spaces are available or there is on-street parking in the cul de sac outside the home.
