Chicks, Celebrations and a Festival!

Dear residents, relatives, staff and friends of The Wilverley Association,

Once again I would like to thank you all for your continued support of The Wilverley Association through these difficult times. As we progress through this pandemic, we are now starting to see some light at the end of the tunnel with more visits from relatives and friends being arranged and restrictions easing a little, whilst still keeping everyone safe. We are also welcoming new residents at both of our Homes, and have also added new brochures, which can be downloaded from our website.

Throughout the pandemic, we are very proud to have continued our list of activities for residents to enjoy 7 days a week in our homes. Residents (and staff!) at both homes enjoyed a visit from some very young chicks. Plus they enjoyed supporting and cheering on players during the football World Cup and Wimbledon. Residents took part in their very own games afternoon, too! We supported Carers Week, pledging our support to the carers who support their loved-ones, as well as thanking and recognising all the care our own staff give. Armed Forces Day was marked by singing along to wartime songs and enjoying a special afternoon tea prepared by one of our resident chefs.

Residents also attended the ‘Little Haven Festival 2021’, complete with face painting, dressing up, music, wristbands, and food!

Going forward, we are now starting to return to a further degree of normality as the government restrictions start to ease further, whilst maintaining a happy, safe home for our residents and staff.

Best wishes
