Little Haven prides itself on a full weekly activities programme (available 7 days a week) offering something for everyone whatever their needs or abilities. In addition to organised activities there are times set aside for our activities team to visit residents in their rooms for one-to-one support. The activity plan changes each week and will include both in-house activities and external entertainers and speakers visiting the home.
Tina and Nikki are our Lifestyle Leads, supporting residents to enjoy an active social life at the home. Their knowledge of each of our residents and their particular likes and dislikes is essential to ensure that a fully inclusive activity programme is maintained. We now have a dedicated space for recreational activities, hobbies, and
group events. Our new Arts & Crafts/Movie Room allows residents to enjoy creative activities and engage in movies and events throughout the year. We update our games, puzzles and activities regularly to keep our residents engaged.
We offer one to one support in residents room for those who prefer to do something quieter or in their own space, this includes hand care, poem or book reading, general chit chat and conversation etc whatever our residents enjoy.
In addition, our activities team support our residents to visit local community groups, cafés, trips to the forest and local attractions to name but a few.
We have a fully equipped and newly refurbished hair
salon. Our residents may book an appointment with our hairdresser or may choose
to bring their own hairdresser to the home.
Our newly opened Ageless Ages Pub is now open at the home. This is used as another communal area for residents to meet or to chat and have a cuppa with their loved one. Due to licensing laws the pub is open during activity pub days with our activity team where alcohol is available to residents to enjoy. Residents can take their own alcohol into the pub and enjoy a drink if they wish.
Our Coffee shop is a
favourite when meeting friends and family and helping our residents engage and
socialise whilst enjoying a fresh tea or coffee and some home made cakes. The coffee shop is always open for people to meet their loved one. One afternoon a week on a Wednesday between 2pm and 4pm this is open to the local community but booking is required at reception.
