Katie Wins HCA Awards Carer of the Year!

Congratulations to Katie Biddlecombe, Associate Practitioner at Little Haven, for winning the Nurse / Carer of the Year 2016 Award at the Hampshire Care Association Awards held on Saturday 26th November 2016.

Katie was nominated for an award along with Teresa Woolley (HCA at Little Haven), Lisa Froud (Clinical Lead at Forest Oaks), Phoenix Hurlstone (HCA at Little Haven), Neil Martin (HCA at Little Haven), Hannah Greenhalgh (HCA at Little Haven) and Lee Gough (Maintenance Technician at Forest Oaks). All worthy nominees whose outstanding work deserves recognition. Teresa Woolley was shortlisted as a finalist in the Nurse / Carer of the Year Award category along with Katie who then went on to win the title.

Those nominated attended the prize giving evening along with senior staff Lisa Dillane (CEO), Alison Vasey (Little Haven Home Manager), Lisa Street (Facilities Co-ordinator) and Vicky Judge (Marketing Manager). It was a fantastic evening and a fabulous way to celebrate the wonderful work of our staff.

Katie was extremely proud to win Nurse/Carer of the Year and dedicated her award to her fellow colleagues at Little Haven:

“I am going to put the award up at work as it is for the whole team to share, I wouldn’t have been able to win this without them and all their hard work. We are a team and we work together to ensure we are providing the best service for our residents.”

Teresa Woolley added, “we are like a family and we pull together.”
