Everyone doing well at Forest Oaks and Little Haven

Dear Reader

I am very happy to tell you that our services are doing really well. Whilst things are very different for everyone, our teams and residents are settling into this new routine.

Residents are understanding of the need for staff to be wearing masks, which is now a requirement for staff working in residential and care homes. The teams are working hard to keep residents as positive as possible, continuing to do a range of regular and celebratory activities.

We purchased 8 kindle fires, 4 for each home so residents can Skype or use Zoom to keep in touch with relatives who are further away. We are also using Facebook to publish pictures of the residents having fun doing activities, it’s great when a relative or loved one likes or comments on the pictures.

Donations – we have had face masks, visors, hand sanitizer, food and alcohol donated which helps to keep up spirits. We have been overwhelmed by the generosity of family members, suppliers and members of the local community.

We appreciate how difficult it is for people not seeing their loved ones and we all look forward to seeing you in person. If there are other things we can do that would help at this difficult time do let us know

Best wishes

Pam
