Redecoration project at Little Haven

We had a kind donation that has allowed us to redecorate our corridors at Little Haven, this project is in full swing and the corridors are now freshly painted with new pictures throughout of each of the floors coming over the next few months. This will give a fresh new feel to the home and the ground floor pictures have a Forest theme for residents to enjoy.

Dear Residents, Family, and Colleagues

Her Majesty The Queen Elizabeth II (1926-2022)

I know that everyone will be deeply saddened by the passing of Her Majesty The Queen. As our Queen for over 70 years, she holds a very special place in the heart of everyone living, working or connected with The Wilverley Association.

Queen Elizabeth’s strength and kindness has been shown so many times over the years. Many of our residents will remember her direction and comfort during times of national crisis throughout her reign and she continued to support us during the Covid-19 pandemic. On her 21st Birthday in 1947 she declared to devote her whole life be it long or short to our service, she carried out this declaration with remarkable success and faithfulness, I doubt we will see the like of her again.

Each home will make arrangements, based on the wishes of residents, to remember the Queen in a fitting way and to follow King Charles III declaration of 7 days of mourning.

An inspirational monarch who reminded us that ‘grief is the price we pay for love’ and the love we have borne for decades for our remarkable Queen deepens our grief.

May she rest in peace.

Yours sincerely,

Amanda Alexander-Pierce
